Trevor is a Mudgee-based painter who works largely in oils and acrylics. His interests embrace a wide range of schools from the renaissance through to contemporary styles. His usual themes have been landscapes, still life and interiors with figures. Trevor has had a lifelong passion for painting but has only been able to fully explore his interest since retiring in 2006. Although largely self taught, Trevor has benefited through the years from the guidance of a number of very good painters.Trevor’s landscapes have been heavily influenced by the countryside of the Central West Tablelands and the adjacent Macquarie River Valley where he grew up. His fascination with Matisse and others of the French Post Impressionists have heavily influenced his interiors and still life works.
Since 2009 he has held annual exhibitions at Mudgee’s iconic Butcher Shop Cafe and also contributed to various regional group exhibitions.
